THE SHORT VERSION Shipping is not a flat fee. Every Product is priced individually, because some ship from within New Zealand and some ship from an overseas warehouse. |
This page forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Supply and should be read alongside them. Where this page conflicts with those Terms, the Terms prevail. Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or, for Australian customers, the Australian Consumer Law.
PART A — WHERE WE SHIP
1. Destinations
1.1 We ship to addresses in New Zealand and Australia.
1.2 We do not currently ship to any other country. If you place an order for delivery outside New Zealand or Australia we will contact you and refund the order in full.
1.3 Some Products are not available to every destination. Where a Product cannot be shipped to your address, this is shown on the listing or at checkout before you pay. Common restrictions are set out in clause 12.
1.4 We deliver to residential and business street addresses. We do not deliver to PO Boxes. Delivery to a parcel locker or collection point is available only where the carrier supports it and the Product is not a signature-required item under clause 11.
PART B — HOW SHIPPING IS PRICED
2. Shipping is calculated per Product, not as a flat fee
2.1 There is no single shipping rate across our range. The cost of shipping a Product depends on four things: where that Product is dispatched from; the size and weight of the Product; where it is being delivered to; and the service level required for that category.
2.2 Because our Products are dispatched from more than one location, two Products at the same price may carry very different shipping costs. This is why we do not advertise a flat fee. We would rather show you the true cost than advertise a headline rate that does not apply to your order.
2.3 Your exact shipping cost is calculated at checkout and displayed to you before you submit your order and before any payment is taken. You will always see the shipping cost, the Product price and the order total before you commit.
2.4 We do not add any shipping charge, surcharge, handling fee or fuel levy after checkout. The total shown at checkout is the total you pay to us. The only amounts that may be payable after checkout are third-party import charges, which are dealt with in clause 9.
3. Dispatch origin
3.1 Every Product listing states, or discloses at checkout, whether the Product is dispatched locally or from overseas.
3.2 Locally dispatched Products are held in or shipped from New Zealand. These generally carry lower shipping costs and shorter transit times.
3.3 Overseas dispatched Products are shipped from a supplier or warehouse outside New Zealand, direct to your delivery address. These generally carry higher shipping costs, longer transit times, and may be subject to the import charges described in clause 9.
3.4 Dispatch origin is a function of where the Product is stocked and is not a statement about where the Product was manufactured. Country of manufacture is stated separately on the listing.
4. What the shipping charge covers
4.1 The shipping charge covers pick, pack, carriage and tracking to the delivery address you provide, to the front door or ground floor of that address.
4.2 It does not include carrying goods upstairs, unpacking, installation, assembly, or removal of packaging.
4.3 It does not include any import duty, border GST, customs brokerage or biosecurity charge levied in the destination country. See clause 9.
4.4 Where a Product requires signature-required or insured carriage under clause 11, the cost of that service is included in the shipping charge shown at checkout.
5. Orders containing Products from more than one origin
5.1 If your order contains Products dispatched from different locations, the shipping charges for each are calculated and then combined into a single figure at checkout. You pay one shipping total.
5.2 Your order may be split into more than one shipment, arriving separately and on different dates. Splitting an order does not increase the shipping charge you have already paid.
5.3 Where an order is split, each shipment has its own tracking and its own estimated delivery window, both of which are shown at checkout and repeated in your dispatch emails.
6. Promotional and free shipping
6.1 From time to time we promote free or reduced shipping on selected Products, categories or order values. Where a promotion applies it is stated on the listing or at checkout, together with any conditions and expiry.
6.2 If your cart contains both a promotional-shipping Product and a standard-shipping Product, the charges are combined and calculated at checkout. A free shipping promotion on one Product does not make the whole order free to ship.
6.3 Promotional shipping applies to standard destinations only, unless expressly stated otherwise, and does not apply to rural, remote or offshore island addresses.
PART C — DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES
7. Standard delivery: 15 working days
7.1 Our standard delivery timeframe is fifteen (15) working days from the date of your Order Confirmation, for standard addresses in New Zealand and Australia.
7.2 A working day is a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or New Zealand public holiday. Fifteen working days is approximately three calendar weeks.
7.3 Many orders, particularly locally dispatched ones, arrive well inside this window. The 15 working day figure is the outer limit of our standard service, not a target.
7.4 Delivery timeframes are estimates given in good faith. They are not guaranteed unless we expressly agree a guaranteed delivery date with you in writing. Time is not of the essence.
7.5 The estimated delivery window specific to your order is shown at checkout, confirmed in your Order Confirmation, and updated in your dispatch notification.
8. When a longer timeframe applies
8.1 Some Products and destinations take longer than 15 working days. Where this applies, the longer timeframe is shown on the listing or at checkout before you pay, and it replaces clause 7.1 for that Product.

8.2 Where a Product is made, altered, engraved or sourced to your specification, the lead time is agreed with you in writing before production begins, and that lead time applies in place of clause 7.1.
9. Import duty, GST and customs charges
9.1 Where a Product is dispatched from overseas direct to you, the delivery may be treated as an import into the destination country.
9.2 New Zealand. GST on imported goods valued at or below NZ$1,000 is generally collected at the point of sale and is included in the price shown on our Site. Consignments valued above NZ$1,000 may attract duty, GST, an import entry transaction fee and a biosecurity levy, assessed by the New Zealand Customs Service at the border. Where we anticipate that your order may attract border charges, we will tell you before dispatch and give you the choice of proceeding or cancelling for a full refund.
9.3 Australia. GST on low value imported goods is generally collected at the point of sale. Consignments above the Australian low value threshold may attract duty, GST and processing charges assessed by the Australian Border Force.
9.4 Any border charge is payable by you directly to the relevant authority or its agent. We are not able to pay it on your behalf and we do not reimburse it. This is a charge levied by government, not by us, and it is separate from the shipping cost shown at checkout.
9.5 Where a Product ships from overseas, you agree that you are the importer of record, that the Product is for personal use and not for resale, and that you will complete any declaration required.
9.6 f you refuse to pay a border charge and the consignment is returned or destroyed as a result, we will refund the Product price but not the shipping charge or any cost incurred in returning or disposing of the goods.
PART D — DISPATCH, TRACKING AND DELIVERY
10. Dispatch and tracking
10.1 We aim to dispatch in-stock, locally held Products within two (2) working days of your Order Confirmation. Overseas-dispatched and made-to-order Products are dispatched in accordance with the timeframe shown at checkout.
10.2 You will receive a dispatch notification by email with tracking details for each shipment. If your order is split, you receive one notification per shipment.
10.3 Tracking information is provided by the carrier and updates on the carrier's schedule. A delay in tracking updating is not, of itself, evidence that a parcel is lost.
10.4 If tracking has not updated for seven (7) consecutive working days, contact us and we will open an enquiry with the carrier.
11. Delivery, signature and risk
11.1 Risk in a Product passes to you on delivery to the address you provided.
11.2 Where you instruct that a parcel be left without signature, or authorise delivery to a third party, a parcel locker or an unattended location, risk passes when the parcel is left in accordance with your instruction. We are not responsible for loss, theft or weather damage after that point.
11.3 Jewellery, watches and other high-value Products are dispatched by tracked, signature-required and insured carriage. Authority to leave is not available for these Products, and any instruction to the contrary given directly to a carrier is at your own risk.
11.4 If nobody is available to accept delivery, the carrier will follow its own process, which is usually a card, a redelivery attempt, or a hold at a depot or collection point. Uncollected parcels are returned to us.
12. Restricted and excluded items
12.1 Alcohol-based fragrance and aerosol Products are classified as dangerous goods and cannot travel by air. They are shipped by road only, may take longer than the standard timeframe, and cannot be delivered to some destinations, including certain offshore and international addresses.
12.2 Some Products are not available for delivery to rural, remote, offshore island or Australian addresses due to carrier limitations. Where this applies it is shown at checkout.
12.3 Oversized and bulky Products may attract a separate freight rate, which is calculated and shown at checkout.
12.4 Where we cannot deliver a Product to your address, we will tell you and refund that Product in full.
13. Incorrect addresses, failed delivery and redelivery
13.1 You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including any unit, level, company name or access instruction.
13.2 If a delivery fails because the address you provided was incorrect or incomplete, or because the parcel was not collected, the cost of redelivery is payable by you.
13.3 If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you. You may pay for redelivery, or we will refund the Product price less the original outbound shipping cost.
13.4 Address changes can only be made before dispatch. Contact us as soon as possible. Once a parcel is with the carrier we cannot guarantee a change.
14. Delays outside our control
14.1 Delivery may be delayed by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, carrier failure, industrial action, port or border congestion, customs inspection, cyber incident, and peak seasonal volume.
14.2 Where a delay occurs we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and take reasonable steps to minimise it. We are not liable for a delay caused by such an event, provided we have done so.
14.3 If delivery has not occurred within fifteen (15) working days after the end of the applicable timeframe, you may contact us and elect either to continue to wait or to cancel the order and receive a full refund of the Product price and the shipping charge, unless the Product has already been despatched or the delay is attributable to information you supplied.
15. Damage, shortages and missing parcels
15.1 Please inspect your delivery promptly. Damage visible on the outside of the parcel, and any shortage in the number of items delivered, must be reported to us within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery, with photographs of the Product and its packaging, so that we can preserve a claim against the carrier.
15.2 This 48-hour period is a notification period. It does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Australian Consumer Law in respect of a Product that is faulty, was damaged before delivery, or does not comply with a statutory guarantee. Faults that were not reasonably apparent on delivery may be raised later.
15.3 Where a Product arrives damaged, we arrange collection or return freight at our cost and, at your election, repair, replace or refund.
15.4 Where a parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we will replace or refund it. Where the parcel was left in accordance with your authority to leave instruction, clause 11.2 applies.
16. Changing or cancelling an order
16.1 You may cancel an order at no cost at any time before it is dispatched. Contact us as soon as possible.
16.2 Once dispatched, our Returns Policy and clause 9 of our Terms and Conditions of Supply apply.
16.3 Made-to-order, resized and engraved Products have their own cancellation window, which is set out in our Terms and Conditions of Supply and confirmed with you before production begins.
